Night Chords

“Night Chords” serves as a cornerstone of The Blue Series, exploring the profound resonance found within moments of absolute solitude. In this work, reality is intentionally distilled to its core elements: the stark, structural geometry of the grand piano and the fluid, ethereal silhouette of the performer.

 By dissolving environmental details into expressive, vertical brushstrokes, the piece transcends literal documentation to create a space of acoustic and atmospheric tension. The deliberate visibility of the raw canvas texture acts as a grounding force, inviting the observer to step into the silence of the night and complete the melody within their own imagination. It is a visual meditation on sound, space, and the stillness that exists between the notes

The Artist’s Note: 

In Night Chords, I sought to capture the physical sensation of a single note suspended in the void. I chose to dissolve the surroundings because, in moments of profound immersion, the physical world fades—we see only what we feel. These open spaces are not empty; they are the music itself, given the room to breathe, to linger, and to resonate within the viewer.
