Harmonic Edge
$3600.00
Not every standoff needs a winner. "Harmonic Edge" studies the meeting point of two forces that will never resolve — stone that refuses to move, water that refuses to stop — and finds, instead of conflict, a kind of rhythm. Two rocks anchor the composition, one at the shore, one further out, and the surf negotiates the space between them, again and again, forever.
The sea and sky are painted in thin, breathing washes, cool and atmospheric, while the wave crests carry dense, tactile ridges of paint that catch real light across the surface of the canvas. The horizon sits high and calm, keeping all the energy low, at the viewer's feet, where it belongs. Where "Coastal Silence" is about stillness, "Harmonic Edge" is about balance — the steady truce two opposites settle into when neither one is going anywhere. A quietly grounding piece for a room that needs the reminder that not every tension has to resolve to feel at peace.

The Artist’s Note:
This one's actually about the rocks, not the water — even though the water gets all the attention. I kept thinking about how those rocks don't move, don't negotiate, don't try to meet the wave halfway. They just stay, and the water figures itself out around them. There's something in that I needed to paint right now — holding your ground isn't the same as being in conflict. Sometimes it's just two things existing at their own pace, and somehow it works.
